About me
Christopher Wheeler, owner of Time Machinist, has a solid background in horology and years of hands-on experience. His journey began in 2013 at the Lititz Watch Technicum, where he earned a Swiss American Watchmaker's Training Alliance (SAWTA) certificate and diploma.
Driven by a passion for vintage timepieces, Christopher started his career at Brinker's Jewelers in Indiana, where he specialized in restoring antique and vintage watches. He also trained with brands like Rolex and the Swatch Group to deepen his skills.
In 2017, he joined Davis Jewelers to help set up a modern watch repair facility in Kentucky. Over the next six years, he honed his expertise in servicing contemporary brands, achieving the highest level of Rolex training in 2022—making him Kentucky’s only Rolex-authorized watchmaker at the time.
In 2023, Christopher launched Time Machinist, an independent service studio that collaborates with jewelers across the region. The goal is simple: to provide trusted, high-quality watch services for retailers without in-house watchmakers and to assist service centers with overflow work.
Christopher’s dedication to horology reflects his love for the craft and commitment to quality.
Christopher is also an adjunct instructor at the American Watch and Clock Institute (AWCI) and serves on the AWCI board of directors. He lives in Louisville with his wife and son.
